AR Project - VirtuCoach
What is VirtuCoach?
VirtuCoach is a VR experience designed for athletes in tactic-focused sports (ex., football, soccer) and their coaching staff. Its primary purpose is to improve coaching and training by offering a first-person perspective (POV) of previous matches and plays. This approach allows players and coaches to relive critical moments, analyze their strategies, and identify areas for improvement.
The Problem
Coaches and players often rely on regular video analysis and verbal feedback to improve performance. These traditional methods lack immersion and fail to provide a player’s perspective, limiting opportunities for an in-depth understanding of situational decision-making and team dynamics.
The Solution
VirtuCoach addresses these limitations by:
- Providing a POV replay experience to better simulate on-field scenarios.
- Enabling coaches and players to analyze matches interactively for strategic insights.
- Offering simple UI for seamless navigation and analysis.
Design Process
Using Figma, I designed all the UI screens, ensuring a clean and functional interface. To maintain consistency, I incorporated elements from Apple’s official Vision OS design library. Key components such as buttons, icons, and text styles were adapted for the app, aligning with Apple’s design principles while adjusting them to VirtuCoach’s unique needs.

- Modern UI: A clean, user-friendly interface designed for use with Apple Vision OS technology.
Outcome
VirtuCoach represents a potential leap forward in sports training technology. This project improved my ability to merge innovative concepts with effective UI/UX design, creating a tool that helps sports teams approach performance analysis.
