About Me
I’m Humberto,
a UX Designer
Hi, I’m Humberto! I am a Bradley University Alumnus. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in User Experience Design. I am passionate about creating seamless digital experiences. With a keen eye for user-centric design, I thrive on translating complex user needs into visually compelling experiences. I have a diverse skill set of wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and more. My experience includes creating mobile and web designs, along with branding. I have designed for clients like Caterpillar and the Peoria local organization, Arts Partners. Let’s collaborate to shape digital landscapes that not only look impressive but also feel effortlessly intuitive for every user!
My Experience
Internship Experience
I gained professional exposure to digital marketing and social content through a shadowing experience with Chicago Fire FC. During this experience, I observed the planning and execution of social media campaigns, matchday content, and brand storytelling across digital platforms. By working closely with the creative and marketing teams, I developed a deeper understanding of how a professional sports organization engages fans, maintains brand consistency, and operates within a fast-paced digital environment.
Client Experience
I have experience creating a range of digital experiences, from mobile and web to concept designs for VR/AR. For clientele, I have participated in designing a mobile experience concept for Caterpillar’s Bradley Student UX Challenge. I also have experience working with a local Peoria organization, Arts Partners, to completely redesign their website.
Student Leadership Experience
During my junior year at Bradley, I served as the marketing director for the Association of Latin American Students (ALAS). My job was to create various graphics, flyers, and other promotional material to later post on ALAS’ Instagram. I also have previous graphic design experience creating various PR pieces, including brochures, business cards, magazines, and other branding materials.
During my senior year, I served as Vice President of the Association of Latin American Students. My responsibilities included helping organize general meetings, coordinating and supporting fundraising efforts, and leading the planning of our annual trip to the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) Conference. Through this role, I developed leadership, organization, and collaboration skills while contributing to a student organization focused on community, culture, and advocacy.
My Design Principles
- USER-CENTRICITY: Design with the user's needs and preferences as the primary focus.
- USABILITY: Ensure that the design is intuitive and easy for users to understand and navigate.
- CONSISTENCY: Maintain uniformity in design elements and interactions across the entire user experience.
